There are lots of assessments and profiles out there.  What makes TMS assessments and profiles any better than anyone else’s?

Answer:  Many assessments and profiles are indeed very good.  In fact we often say to clients, it’s not so much about the data from the profile, it’s how you use that data that makes the real difference.  Even so, we do think there are 3 things that are important about our profiles and about us:

  • The profiles are all extensively researched and research within TMS is an ongoing discipline.  See our section on Research
  • The profiles are all work based.  Whether assessing psychometrics, importance or competence, all TMS profiles provide data that relates to the world of work.  There is no need to interpret the data ‘back’ into the work world.  See our section on Assessments and Feedback Instruments
  • We know how to apply our profiles.  Either through direct consulting with TMS or by accessing TMS Network Members worldwide we can apply our profile data to a very wide array of organizational contexts.  See our section on Consulting

What does Accreditation mean?

Answer:  Accreditation means you have authorization to access and use the TMS assessment questionnaires and profiles.  By being accredited you also become part of our worldwide, 5000 plus member Network of users.

3.

Why do you have to be Accredited to use TMS assessments and profiles?

Answer:  Accreditation builds the capacity to effectively feed back the data contained in the TMS profiles to the end user.  It is critical to work with someone that really knows how to use this data so it can make a real difference to people and their organizations.  Having our products used well is as important to us as doing the research to make sure our profiles are valid and reliable.

4.

Can I get a free profile?

Answer:  Complimentary profiles are sometimes used but only if we think there is the possibility of doing additional value added work with the person.  Any complimentary profiles still need to have the data fed back by an Accredited Network Member so it is not something we routinely do.  Sample profiles in PDF format are available for download in our Assessments and Feedback Instruments section.

5.

Do you provide your profiles electronically (i.e.: in PDF format)?

Answer:  Under certain distribution or timing circumstances we will provide PDF copies of our profiles.  We will then follow up with a hard copy of the profile to the end user or Network Member.  Under normal conditions we prefer to send hard copy of our profiles.

6.

How much do the profiles cost?

Answer:  Please contact us for information on pricing.

7.

Your name is Team Management Systems.  Are all of your products focused on teams?

Answer: No.  In fact the majority of profiles are individual profiles. These profiles can be used with teams when you look at the profile data for all the individuals comprising the team and then consider what impact this may have as a team.  Some of our multi rater assessments do focus completely on team.  See our section on Assessments and Feedback Instruments for more specific information.
